Nexpress® is the pre-paid toll discount program that allows drivers to cross the Detroit Windsor Tunnel faster and easier. Most accounts will have a window sticker transponder assigned to it. Affix the sticker on the inside of your windshield and you are ready to go!

Nexpress® EV Program

Driving an electric vehicle can earn drivers an extra discount when traveling the Detroit Windsor Tunnel.

Drivers must be enrolled in the Nexpress® program.
Eligible vehicles include zero emission Battery Electric Vehicles or Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles only. Hybrid vehicles do not qualify at this time. Qualifying Electric and Hydrogen Vehicles can be found here
Drivers must present the vehicle registration in person to our customer service desk in Detroit to validate the discount.
Discounts will only apply to trips from the Detroit side of the Tunnel.

DWT Mobile is a free app for Apple and Android devices that allows drivers to cross the border faster and pay a discounted rate. Simply pre-purchase trips, scan the barcode at the booth and cross the border. DWT Mobile is not for use with Tunnel Bus travel.

The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel is the only existing underwater international border crossing tunnel. Opened in 1930, the tunnel is a convenient link between the downtowns of Windsor, Ontario, Canada and Detroit, Michigan, United States.
